New search resource: Google Scholar

I just had a go at it, and it is amazing, much powerful than Philosopher index for example!

Google scholar

As Gary says it is destined to become a major academic resource.

Good thing for the final stages of my Ph.D:)

And now this as well, thanks to Thivai Abhor for the link.

Ali--it seems to only direct me to articles that I have to pay for in order to access, for instance I searched:

Harvey Massey Place

Another very useful search tool for academics is Vivisimo which operates with clustering technology and breaks down those massive results into tidy sections....

great site!

Thivai thanks for Vivisimo. I have not tried it before.

Fortunately I do not have to pay for article at the moment as I can get most articles through my university subscriptions.

Thanks for your time here and for the encouragement. Much appreciated.

Ali,

I'll try the Google Scholar when I am at the university and see if I can access the articles for free--thanks for the suggestion.

We will have to talk more when we have time--we probably have some similarities in our work even though we are coming from different directions.

I'm also working on my dissertation...

Thivai, surely there are similarities. I have noticed your interest in the analysis of capitalism on your great site (which btw has a very Habermasian name). My underlying enduring interest is to understand capitalism and hopefully to contribute a tiny bit in the struggle towards overcoming it.

Would love to know about your dissertation etc.

Cheers
Ali
